The Foundation of regional social programs “Our Future” (http://nb-fund.ru/) is the first organization to start developing social entrepreneurship in Russia. The Foundation was founded in 2007 on the initiative of a prominent businessman Vagit Alekperov and over the years of its existence has become one of the few organizations in the world that provides comprehensive support to social business – from financial to consulting one. Within the framework of the Project Competition “Social Entrepreneur” (http://konkurs.nb-fund.ru/), the Foundation supported 310 projects from 59 regions for a total amount of 780 million rubles. Funding is provided in the form of interest-free targeted loans.

To help social businesses enter the wider market, the Foundation, together with “LUKOIL”, launched the project “More than a Purchase” in 2013 (http://nepokupka.ru/). Since then, the products of social entrepreneurs have been sold in mini-markets at gas stations. Since 2014, the Social Entrepreneurship Laboratory (http://lab-sp.ru/) has been operating on the basis of the Foundation, which conducts webinars and thematic courses. The teachers of the Laboratory are outstanding Russian experts in the field of social entrepreneurship.

For its contribution to the development and promotion of social entrepreneurship, the Foundation presents the Award “Impulse of Good” (http://impulsdobra.ru/), which is awarded to social entrepreneurs, representatives of public organizations, heads of government agencies and specialized departments, journalists, media and higher educational institutions of Russia.

The Foundation also publishes its own and translated literature, maintains an information and analytical portal “New Business: Social Entrepreneurship” (http://nb-forum.ru/), develops educational programs and legislative initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship, holds forums and conventions.
